She keeps the home fires burnin’, as Ronnie Milsap would say. Farmer’s wives have many roles and wear many different hats, especially during the busy seasons.

- Field Checker
- Lunch Maker
- Goat Shepherd
- Trash taker outer
- Lawn mower
- Check depositer
- Laundry guru
- Landlady
- Motivator
If I think of more I’ll add them to my list. But one thing’s for sure, we stay busy, too. Most days fly by for me and I’m running around getting stuff done and taking on a few more responsibilities. It can be a lot at times, but the farming lifestyle is all worth it… and we’re all in it together as a family.
