These bare fields signify two things for me. Peace and Hope.
We have made it through a very difficult season in farming. It’s easy to fear the future and wonder what the coming season will bring.
In farming, and in life in general, there are so many things we can’t control that we worry about constantly. I’m encouraging you today to give all those worries over to God. He’s got you! He sees you and he hears you.
As you drive by bare nothing-filled fields today, soak up the stillness and peace that you feel radiating off of them. Feel the hope of the future for a season we haven’t entered yet and remember God will get us through.
A verse that stuck with me was Romans 15:13.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
