Fun fact about me: before I became a mom and moved to Illinois I had my CDL. I drove school bus, grain truck, and fertilizer tenders. 🚛🚌
I’ve hung up my trucker hat 🧢 for now, and stick to my mom cap 👒 on the daily.
Trucking is a big part of #farmingintheoffseason for us.
We can store up to 730,000 bushels of grain and all of it needs to be hauled out before we start harvesting again next September. Most of our corn 🌽 is trucked a 2hr+ round trip from the home farm. So, this is a time-consuming job.
Thankfully we have our boys and a couple of really amazing guys who work for us that get the job done safely and efficiently.
