Crock Pot Chicken
- Take the raw chicken out of the packaging and pat the skin dry.
- Drizzle on olive oil, use a basing brush to coat the chicken evenly
- Mix the spices together and sprinkle them on the chicken. Make sure the chicken ends up breast side up in the crock pot for cooking.
- Cut up butter pads and add them to the top of the chicken.
- Place cut lemon in the cavity of the chicken
- Pour 1/4 cup water or broth around the chicken
- Set crock pot on low for 6-8 hours
- After the chicken is done cooking, remove the bones and return the shredded meat back into the crock pot juices.
Maple Bacon Dijon Glaze
- Add all three ingredients to a small pot on the stovetop
- Simmer for approximately 5 minutes to slightly thicken
Assembly
- Serve the chicken over mashed potatoes, rice, or whatever you like. Add the maple bacon dijon glaze over the top just before serving.
