Dump Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Pie Filling Any flavor, sometimes a combo of two kinds is good. I like to use cherry. Some like to combine 1 can cherry & 1 can pineapple. You can also do apples, blueberry, or whatever you like.
  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional
  • 1/4 cup cold cubed butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Spray a 9×13" pan with a nonstick spray
  3. "DUMP" both cans of pie filling into the pan
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pie filling
  5. sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over cake mix
  6. Drizzle melted butter evenly over nuts and cake mix
  7. cube cold butter and leave small dabs in the gaps the melted butter didn't hit
  8. Bake 50-60 minutes until the topping is golden brown and bubbly
  9. Let cool & serve
  10. Top with whipped cream at serving
